International Ideas Competition: Master Planning of Paris Courthouse
on Wednesday 12 July 2006 - 09:30:11 | by adminThe Etablissement Public du Palais De Justice de Paris (EPPJP) is running an international competition, open to architects, town planners, and students of architecture.
The competition aims to bring forth architectural and urban planning ideas and concepts to achieve the best possible implementation of this exceptional court construction project (100,000 sq. M groos floor space): the new Paris courthouse on the Tolbaic- Halle Freyssinet site in the Paris Rive Gauche ZAC (Mixed Developmnt Zone), in the 13th District.
The competition is under the joint patronage of Minister of justice and Minister for Culture of France.
Awards
For Professionals: Three monetary awards each worth 40,000 euros.
For Students: Five monetary awards each worth 10,000 for the 'architecture students' category.

Sustainable Design Competition for New Orleans

Competition Schedule:
Stage-1
Registration period: May 23rd to June 9th 2006
Submission Deadline: July 6th 2006
Award:
Finalist in the first stage of the competion will be awarded $25,000 to offset the cost of developing their proposals and partake in the Community Charrettes and planning and design process. At the end of Stage II, cash prizes totaling $25,000 will be awarded at the jury’s discretion.

A Competition is Coming Ahead on New Orleans' Sustainable Architecture

Global Green is planning for a competition for students and architects of all over the world to provide an innovative design for the Hariken Katrina affected New Orleans. Holliwood actor Brad Pitt is sponsoring the competition. On April 19th Brad Pitt and Global Green USA announced the "Sustainable Design Competition for New Orleans Neighborhoods". The competition launched to act as a catalyst for sustainable design in the rebuilding process.
