The National Foundation for Art in Public Buildings, Norway, (Utsmykkingsfondet for offentlige bygg) hereby invites artists working within the fields of visual art, arts and craft, architecture, landscaping and other visual expressions designers, to participate in an open, international competition for project ideas.
Final Deadline: of Submission is April-18th 2006.

Envisioning the post-industrial landscape- Urban Design Competition
on Tuesday 28 February 2006 - 15:09:00 | by adminThe City of Somerville, Massachusetts and the Boston Society of Architects invite designers to envision the future of a pivotal post-industrial area in Somerville, known as the BrickBottom District. Urban design schemes for the area will conceptualize the ideas of neighborhood and infrastructure that accompany the redevelopment of large areas of underutilized industrial land.
Registration begins January 12, 2006 and closes March 31, 2006.
Competition entries are due May 26, 2006.

Innovative Design Competition for Toronto's Central Waterfront
on Tuesday 28 February 2006 - 13:01:32 | by adminThe Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation invites architects, landscape architects and other design professionals to submit a statement of qualifications to produce innovative design proposals for Toronto's Central Waterfront Esplanade and Boulevard.
The TWRC is seeking input from the world's most talented and creative design professionals in creating a new signature for the Central Waterfront Esplanade and Boulevard. Five firms or collaborative teams representing a range of different urban and architectural design philosophies will be selected to participate in a six-week design competition
